Jason Agosta
Jason Agosta trained in Podiatry at La Trobe University and graduated in 1988 and was awarded the Harley award for excellence in diagnosis and orthoses manufacture.He was a lecturer at La Trobe University for 6 years teaching sports and musculo-skeletal injuries.
Jason's past private practice experience has included 12 years of working at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre before having an extended break to pursue media commitments. This included the hosting of health segments for channel 9 television, ABC radio and co-hosting of Run Like You Stole Something on Triple R radio. Jason co-hosted 'Run Like You Stole Something' a sports science and health program for 6 years.
Jason has continued study in biomechanics and has studied his Masters degree looking at the 'Effect of running spikes on Achilles tendon load in distance runners' at Victoria University (not submitted).
His private practice focus is on difficult foot and lower limb problems, effect of footwear on walking and running, and post-operative care.
Jason is the podiatrist for Essendon Football Club, Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club and many national track athletes. Jason is the podiatrist on call for the Australian Open Tennis Championship. He has been competitive himself and has represented Australia at the World Cross Country Championships. He also sits on the Victorian Podiatry Association board of directors.
